Applying as an undergraduate student

Enrollment for summer 2024 begins on April 1, 2024.

If you have not attended college, or have not finished a college degree yet, you may apply as an undergraduate student. No previous college experience is necessary to come to AILDI. (You will need to be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or G.E.D.) To apply you will need to do the following: If you will be attending the University of Arizona for the summer only, please use the University of Arizona application portal. Make sure to select Summer as the term. For the program selection, make sure to choose "American Indian Language Development Institute".

Once you fill the application out and submit with payment, the admissions process will begin. An email will be sent to you with further instructions, along with your Student ID number and Pin number. This application is good for summer only. It will not allow you to register for Fall 2024.

Click here to complete AILDI's internal Registration Form. By filling out this form we will be able to keep track of your application to the University of Arizona. This is important due to the variety of offices involved in the admissions process.

Things to remember:

  • Be sure to fill out AILDI's internal pre-registration form
    • AILDI will register you for your courses based on your selections
  • Undergraduate application fees are $50 for Arizona residents and $80 for non-Arizona residents
  • Graduate application fees are $45
  • Application fees must be paid online via credit or debit card only
    • Your application will not be processed without payment
  • Be sure to log in and check the status of your application
    • Graduate students must return to the application portal to accept their admittance
  • Graduate students must send their transcripts to the Arizona Graduate College at transcripts@grad.arizona.edu
    • Unofficial transcripts will be accepted
    • Be sure the file format is a PDF, EXE documents will not be accepted
  • Immunization records must be submit to Campus Health
