NATHPO - Organizing Cultural Content Using FLEx, August 29, 2016

Presented by the American Indian Language Development Institute Monday, August 29, 2016

Location: Sky Ute Casino Resort, Ignacio, Colorado

This workshop was a pre-conference activity held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the National Association of Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (NATHPO). The NATHPO conference was held in Ignacio, Colorado on the Southern Ute Indian reservation.

The workshop introduced FLEx a free, downloadable software that can be used to create glossaries, dictionaries or handbooks. FLEx can isolate words or descriptions from texts and documents that can be organized into manuals or other resource materials. Photos or maps can also be inserted to provide visual content. This workshop provided a hands-on opportunity for using FleX.

Instructor: Stacey Oberly (Southern Ute) Ph.D  Click here for the agenda.
