This ten- day workshop focused on the Tohono O'odham language. Participants learned O'odham language for educators and caregivers of little children (pre-school, Headstart, parents, support staff). Other topics included O'odham language for families (parents, grandparents and young adults just starting families). The workshop featured a lot of hands-on activities such as preparing food, cooking, eating and game playing including toka, a traditional O'odham women's field game.
The workshop instructor was Andrea Ramon and the workshop was held in the administrative building of the San Xavier District of the Tohono O'odham Nation.
