Native Language Teaching Activites for Infants and Children, June 11-12, 2015

This workshop focused on teaching language learning activities that incorporate songs, gestures, finger play, and dolls for very young children. Participants learned how to engage children in the language. Participants also created their own teaching tools.

Instructor: Patricia King (Akimel O’odham)  Language and Culture Specialist with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Early Childhood Education Center. The workshop was held at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
