Participants in the five-day workshop were introduced to the Master Apprentice method of language immersion. By using a number of different hands-on activities, participants were exposed to using one on one language immersion using situational fluency. Highlights included making and playing traditional games, using currency to by food and snacks, creating drawings guided only by descriptions spoken in the language. The languages used included O'odham, Yaqui and PeePosh.
The workshop was taught by Stan Rodriguez. The workshop was held at the College of Education, University of Arizona, Tucson.
