Culturally Responsive Language Assessment, June 14 & 15,2012

During the two-day workshop, participants learned how to plan for a culturally responsive approach to language assessment. They learned how  to determine if the learners in their language programs were successfully learning the language, and to identify their strengths and limitations in the language. The participants began the process of identifying concrete language targets and created different items for assessing those particular language forms.

The workshop was taught by Lizette Peter, Ph.D., and was held at the College of Education, University of Arizona, Tucson.
