UNESCO has declared 2022-2032 as the International Decade of Indigenous Language. UNESCO's Global Action Plan includes a wide variety of topics. AILDI’s summer session will highlight the following topics: Indigenous language sustainability, the use of digital and media resources to aid in language empowerment and creative expression, and holistic language revitalization activities that address food systems and traditional knowledge, climate change, health disparities. Through courses, workshops, guest speakers, discussions and networking, AILDI participants will be empowered to create local action plans that will contribute to global advocacy.
