Language and Technology
Technology and Hands-on Approaches to Indigenous Language Documentation was a two day workshop held in February 2011. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the event featured panel presentations followed by a workshop where participants could create their own language lessons using innovative software, web based resources and their own IPod and IPhones. Presenters included: Phil CashCash,University of Arizona ; Mary Hermes, University of Minnesota; Shannon Bishoff, Three Rivers Language Center, Indiana-Purdue Ft. Wayne; Stacey Oberly,University of Arizona; Elavina Perkins and Elizabeth Cook, Navajo Language Renaissance; Rolando Coto, University of Arizona and LaToya Hinton, University of Arizona.
