AILDI Summer Session I and II 2017

AILDI will be offering two summer sessions in 2017. The first session dates are June 5-29. The session will be held at the University of Arizona in Tucson. The theme for the month long program is "Language Education and Linguistics: A Holistic Immersion Experience".  Students will take two courses (3 credits each) that will emphasize cultural education, linguistics and immersion methods. Tribal communities are encouraged to send a team of participants in order to gain maximum benefit from the courses.

The second summer session will be held July 10-14; 17- 21. The ten day session will be held at the Gila River Indian Community located outside Phoenix.  One course (3 credits) that will feature policy, planning and language teaching methods will be offered. LIke the month long course, students will be responsible for their own lodging, meals and transportation.
