Are there other costs besides tuition and fees?
Yes. When you submit your University of Arizona student application you will be asked to pay the application fee with a credit card before you can submit the form. The fee for graduate students is $45.00 and the fee for the undergraduates are $50. (Please note that all the applicants for summer only undergraduates pay as residents, thus reducing the application fee costs.)
How and when do I pay the tuition fees?
The tuition will be due on or before the first day of classes. It is best to pay for your tuition as early as possible so you can make sure you receive a student ID number. Having this number is required before you can get your student ID card and to conduct any business on campus. Tuition may be paid by check, money order or credit card. Payment must be made out to the University of Arizona. You may also go to this link for payment information.
My tribe/school/language program/ is paying for me to attend. Is there a different type of procedure for them to pay?
If your attendance at AILDI will be sponsored by a third party, you must first have your employer, school or tribe contact Suzanne Rodriguez at the Bursar's Office (520) 621-3572 firstname.lastname@example.org) in order to establish a letter of credit. The letter should be written on letterhead and it must include the name or names of the individuals that will be attending AILDI. The letter must also indicate if the student will be enrolled in 6 unit classes (June session) or 3 unit classes (July session at Gila River Indian Community). It must also include any other anticipated charges such as parking and I.D card. The letter does not include the amount of costs for the tuition or other charges. The Bursar's Office will use the information in the letter to generate an invoice. Click here for a sample letter. For planning purposes click here to learn more about logistical costs.
Are there scholarships available?
A limited amount of partial tuition funding is available for currently enrolled Native graduate students at the University of Arizona. Click here to apply.
