AILDI 2017 Financial Support for University of Arizona Native Graduate Students

DEADLINE: April 28, 2017

Eligibility: The scholarship is targeted towards currently enrolled Native American graduate students at the University of Arizona. The scholarship will provide for partial tuition only. Please note that there is a very limited amount of support available. Students are encouraged to seek other sources of support.

Criteria: Successful applicants will demonstrate that participation in AILDI will contribute to their personal or community's language revitalization efforts.

 In addition to submitting this form, please provide one letter of recommendation. Letters can be sent via email to coe-aildi@email.arizona.edu or hand delivered to AILDI, room 511 or 517, Teaching Learning and Sociocultural Studies department, College of Education.

I. Describe your personal and professional goals in relation to Indigenous language revitalization. II. How will your participation in AILDI contribute to your goals? III. Describe your language experience (Native language literacy, language courses taken and/or taught). IV. Describe your language community in regards to language status/vitality including a description of language use, speaker population, school and other community language project, etc. V. Provide a brief statement on financial need. Name other sources of support (if applicable).
